Our Latest Experiment Comedic Empire is the latest research project for Dwight and his two partners, Dale Schmid and Vern Obermeier. First, take a look at his pedigree. You're scratching your head wondering how he came to be ours with a pedigree like that, right? Next, let's take a look at his most recent photo shoot. Doesn't quite match his pedigree, does it? However, that's where optimism comes in, and the mission statement of High Prairie - a practical approach that allows each and every individual equine athlete to become the best that they can be. Comedic Empire, or Shaggy as he's affectionately nicknamed, has shown promise. Stakes winning promise. But there's one big problem - he will not leave the gate. His previous owners tried everything -- with the potential he showed, no stone was left unturned. But unfortunately, nothing worked, and he was put out to pasture at the tender age of 4, all hope gone. We heard about him through the grapevine, and were intrigued. Could it be done? Could a gelding that's now 6 be retrained to become a champion? Dwight and his partners are hopeful that dedication can turn this story one that can be put under success stories.
